Transportation Engineer – Bridgeport, WV

Dieffenbauch & Hritz, LLC (D&H) is currently seeking a Transportation Engineer to join our growing transportation design team in our Bridgeport, WV office.  This individual will work within the transportation design team on a wide range of transportation projects that may include roadway, traffic, drainage and structural design.  This individual will produce high quality design plans to the specifications of agency standards.

 Job Duties / Responsibilities:

•  Assist in the development of construction plans, right of way plans.
• Develop construction specifications, quantities and cost estimates.
• Aid in creating scope of work documents and project schedules.
• Attend and actively participate in project meetings.
• Work collaboratively as part of a design team to meet the client’s scope, budget and schedule.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in transportation engineering.
• Experience with the following software (or similar) :
  • AutoCAD Civil3D
  • MicroStation InRoads/Open Roads is a plus.
  • Proficiency in HEC-RAS, HY-8 is preferred.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) is preferred but not required.
