History
Dieffenbauch & Hritz, LLC (D&H) was formed in 2005 by Chris Dieffenbauch, P.E. and Mike Hritz, P.E. Since then, D&H has been providing engineering support to clients in West Virginia, Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina on a wide variety of projects.
Most notably, D&H played an integral part in the first ever public/private partnership between a coal company and the West Virginia Division of Highways, the Red Jacket section of King Coal Highway in Mingo County. This was a public-private partnership between the WVDOH and Nicewonder Contracting, Inc. (Alpha Natural Resources) (NCI/ANR) where NCI/ANR constructed twelve miles of four-lane highway and connector roads to subgrade utilizing coal synergy. The project was completed and opened to the public in 2012.
