Bridge Engineer – Bridgeport, WV

Dieffenbauch & Hritz, LLC (D&H) is currently seeking a Bridge Engineer to join our growing transportation design team in our Bridgeport, WV office.  This individual will work within the transportation design team on a wide range of transportation projects that may include bridge, roadway and H&H. 

 Job Duties / Responsibilities:

  •  Perform bridge design and analysis
  • Execute structural calculations to ensure the soundness and compliance of structural elements.
  • Produce structural plans in accordance with DOH standards.
  • Assist in developing scope of work documents and project schedules.
  • Attend and actively participate in project meetings.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a design team to meet the client’s scope, budget and schedule.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience with structural / bridge detailing and plan production.
  • Experience with bridge design and AASHTO LRFD Manual is preferred.
  • Experience with the following software (or similar) :
    • AutoCAD Civil3D
    • MicroStation
    • OpenBridge Designer
    • MDX
    • AASHTOWare BrR
    • Microsoft Excel
    • HEC-RAS, HY-8 is preferred.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) is preferred but not required.
